MAKE ME USABLE
“Shaped for God’s Purpose”
TODAY’S VERSE
“Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
Isaiah 64:8 (NIV)
TODAY’S QUOTE
“Everyone wants to be used by God, but not everyone wants to be molded by God.”
TODAY’S MESSAGE
Many believers pray, “Lord, use me.” It’s a beautiful prayer, but often incomplete. Because before God can use us, He must first mold us. And this is where the struggle lies. We want the purpose without the process. We want the impact without the surrender.
Isaiah paints the picture: we are clay in the Potter’s hands. Clay is formless until the Potter shapes it. The process involves pressure, reshaping, and sometimes breaking down before being built back up. It’s uncomfortable, but necessary.
Some people resist this molding. They want God to use them but still cling to pride, unforgiveness, or hidden sin. They want to serve but refuse correction. Yet the truth is: an unmolded vessel cannot be filled. If we aren’t willing to be shaped, we won’t be ready for His assignments.
Being “usable” means saying, “Lord, don’t just use me—change me. Shape my heart, refine my character, and align my will with Yours.” God doesn’t just want workers; He wants vessels of honor, transformed and prepared for His glory.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE
Ask yourself: Am I resisting God’s molding in my life? This week, surrender one area—whether pride, fear, or control—and invite God to shape it for His purpose.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I confess that sometimes I want to be used without being molded. I want the blessing without the breaking, the purpose without the process. Forgive me for resisting Your hand. Today, I surrender. Shape me into a vessel of honor, ready for Your purpose. Press me, refine me, and prepare me until I am usable for every good work You have planned. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
