TODAY’S MESSAGE
Summer often brings thoughts of road trips, open highways, and new adventures. Driving down a summer road can feel freeing—windows down, the sun shining, the journey unfolding before you. But every road trip also reminds us of something deeper: life itself is a journey with God.
On the summer road, you need direction. Maps, signs, and GPS help keep you from getting lost. Spiritually, our “map” is the Word of God. Without it, we may wander into wrong turns, detours, or dead ends. But with it, we stay on the path that leads to life.
On the summer road, you also need fuel. A car cannot run on empty. In the same way, our spirits cannot run without prayer, worship, and time with the Lord. If you try to keep going without stopping to refuel, eventually, you’ll break down.
And on the summer road, you need companionship. The best journeys are shared with others. God has given us community, brothers and sisters in Christ, to encourage us along the way.
So as you travel this summer, remember: it’s not just about the destination, but the road itself. Walk it with Jesus, let His Word light the way, and trust that He’s leading you somewhere good.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE
Think about your spiritual journey right now. Are you running low on fuel? Are you ignoring God’s map? Take time today to refuel in prayer and let His Word guide your next step.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
- What has your current “road” with God looked like—smooth, bumpy, or full of detours?
- How do you keep yourself “fueled” spiritually during busy seasons?
- What role does community play in helping you stay on the right road?
- How can you make your journey with God more intentional this summer?
TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord, thank You for walking with me on this road of life. When the way is clear, help me to rejoice. When the road feels long or confusing, remind me that You are guiding me. Keep my heart fueled with Your presence and my steps directed by Your Word. Help me enjoy the journey with You and trust that every road You lead me down has purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
